The international TEMPUS project «Updating the language policy of Russian Technical Universities (LangTU)» is realized at Tyumen State Oil and Gas University.
The project's objective is a solution to the existing problems of linguistic education at technical universities.
The TEMPUS project is successfully implemented at our institution since January 2008 collectively with the Siberian Automobile-road Academy (the city of Omsk) and Irkutsk State Technical University (the city of Irkutsk). Besides the Russian universities there are the following foreign institutions that take part in the project's realization: Leibniz Technical University (the city of Hanover, Germany), University of Poznan (Poland), University of Warwick (Great Britain), as well as international companies, represented in Russia. The Tyumen partner is the KCA Deutag Drilling company.
The results of the project were presented several times at various conferences. The Head of International Projects and Programs Department of TSOGU A. Gordievskiy gave a presentation of the project and its preliminary results at the international conference in the city of Krasnoyarsk «International management and marketing at the university».
