Background
Department of ethics and applied ethics laboratory Cathedral Tyumen industrial Institute (1976-1989), pioneers of applied ethics in our country. The main directions of research of this period is the formation of the concept of ethics as a practical philosophy and its specification in two ways: the concept of moral management processes and the concept of ethical praksiologii as rational moral choice theory of personality. Applications within these concepts to practice higher, postgraduate education and ideological work: workshops on General and professional ethics, ethical business games.

SRI EP inherits and the laboratory of applied ethics Institute development North of the Siberian branch of RAS, as well as the Center for applied ethics Bureau of the Tyumen scientific Center RAS (1989-1994), launched the multifaceted research on emerging civil society in its "ethical dimension". During this period, were created the country's first monographic work on political ethics, Enterprise ethics, ethics education, the values of civil society. Special direction of applied ethics in this period is associated with the development of methodologies and techniques for humanitarian expertise and their application to the study of problems of national and regional scale, including the humanitarian aspects of the new development, Ethics North, etc..
Creation of Tûmenskim oil and gas University Scientific Research Institute of applied ethics (1995 г.) opened a new stage of domestic ethical-applied research and development.
